I like the way both John and Sherlock know that they're walking into a trap and yet both are prepared to do so. Looking forward to part 7.

I had initially thought that this, what you have described would be difficult to pull off with only a day old history. I was afraid it wouldn't be convincing, but my beta didn't voice this doubt and she's a stickler about keeping the boys in character.

Besides John did shoot the cabbie within a day of meeting Sherlock.

Oh yes! I think the OP expected Jim-John relationship to be real, but I simply couldn't imagine Jim like that (especially post season 2). I'm glad you liked the characterisation.
