rl can suck so much... i can always only read half as much as i want to before i get so tired that my eyes fall shut on their own... can't imagine what it means to actually writing a story. so i will simply stay on lj and ao3 and wait as long as it takes, hoping this story will not be abandoned no matter how much time passes between two chapters, because i really like it....

Thank you so much for that sweet review and encouragement. God knows! it's sorely needed. I assure you that I won't abandon the story. I love it too much to do that. Bully for more readers like you! Thanks again.

Thanks a lot! It's comments like yours that wont let me stop writing fanfic though I absolutely am not supposed to have any time for it. Doing exactly what you're supposed to is boring anyways! Thanks again.

Oh, poor John, knowing that whatever he does things will end up badly. At least he's had a small chance to hold Sherlock. Looking forward to what happens next.

Thanks for reading and reviewing and sorry for being so slow. I swear that I hadn't imagined that the story would extend beyond six-seven chapters when I started writing it. Now I'm on chapter ten and there will be atleast three more chapters (if not more). I had the rough story outline in my head but there are so many plot-points demanding attention that it just keeps growing on me.

Doesn't help that my typing skills are abysmal. (Love writing, HATE typing!). I have great admiration for all the fanfic writers who not only update like clockwork when they are supposed to but manage to deliver >5000 words at a time. It takes me ages to type a measly 2000 words.

And even then I get great readers like you to stick with me. Can't thank you enough!

Thank you so much. That makes me feel really warm and so much better. My real life at present is down in the dumps. Your comments keep me cheerful!

Ah, so that's what Sherlock contacted Kitty for! I'm positively surprised he thought of such a dull thing as "backup", delayed or not, this time. Yay for Lestrade, although the poor DI really needs a vacation after all he has to put up with. (Preferable on the moon, it might actually be a Sherlock-safe place ( ... )

I admit when I started working, I was really tempted to 'wrap up' the story quickly. But then I read it again from the start and I really couldn't bring myself to do that. Also, my beta has taken tremendous pains with the story and it would be wrong to end it in a slapdash manner.

So it's going to take it's own sweet time to completion and thanks for the encouragement. It's sorely needed especially since some people (not on LJ) were unhappy with this update as 'nothing happened'. That shouldn't bother me too much as it's subjective, but... whatever...

Sorry for the rant. But that last line of your review made me feel really warm. Thanks for the mood rescue!
