In most places (with cicadas) they are just making background noise. Not in my neighborhood.. I can't really hear most of the cicadas in the old neighborhood from inside the house, but I do hear this one cicada. It's screaming at the top of its lungs (actually, they don't scream.. but yea) by itself so it's super duper irritating. If there were
