Well why on earth didn't you explain all this when i asked you what was wrong 3 billion times the last week?
I can't fix all of this honey but you know i'm here for you WHATEVER you want to do, and can provide interest free loans to keep you afloat when you need them. The thing about monotony is - it's the same for everyone, you've just got to learn to cope with not doing *something* all the time and relax and read a book/play online/snuggle me/find a new hobby. I'm just not exactly sure what it is you expect to happen to make every single day a trip to disneyland some days not alot happens, every now and then other things come up and it gets interesting for a bit, this is life - there's nothing to it, if you want to feel you've made a difference then ask ghostpaw if you can help her save the world... i don't know what else to tell you.

Firstly, you have plenty to look forward to, you're what, 21?, in relative good health, with a wonderful girlfriend, you're smart, you're talented. But only you can make the future happen ( ... )

Ok babe, there's a lot I could say here, but none of it is important as this.

Get your arse to a doctor. And this time, if they ask you to come back in a week after having a think, do so.

And call me. I can help you with the bike, I can talk to you about all sorts of stuff. If you like we could start with your finances, because now you are working, they really should be adding up better than that.

Have you talked to your bank, as a graduate they should have other options open to you, but you have to tell them about stuff. I get £2000 OD free for 3 years after graduating.

Hmmm, it's worth a try, but due to major lackings in funds and personell, the mental health services around here aren't terribly interested unless you're an obvious danger to yourself and others. I mean, they do care, they just can't do anything. My SI wounds got written off as 'superficial' and a workmate's ex-boyfriend, who suffers from schizophrenia, has been repeatedly turned away when he's tried to commit himself because he hasn't tried to kill anyone yet.

That's not quite the point. MaC isn't sick, he's just got some positivity issues. A referral to a half decent councellor or just *someone* to talk through stuff with is all that is necessary.

This is the whole point T. There's nothing wrong with you except that you cling to your misery like some kind of security blanket, because it feels familiar, you let yourself wallow in things that really needn't be such a problem.

*hugs*

As more of a passer by in the the world of Missing_a_chair I may not be in the best place to help, but when I spoke to my doctor a few months back he mentioned using trainee councellors as they don't charge, or are very cheap.

If you are concearned about the whole cancer thing, Bristol's Oncology centre just off St. Michael's Hill can give you some help and support for that side of things, if you want to.

Food wise, Ghostpaw is utterly right, good food really does help. Not just physical health, but mental health too. When I eat not so healthy food I feel awful, down and very tired.

Just remember you have a lovely girlfriend and lots of good friends who will help you out. It's never as bad as you think it is and as Dang reminds me, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Take care hun.

All the above are very sound advice.

I would add two things:

Firstly the people you know (at least the ones I know that you know) are some of the nicest bestest people about. Isn't it cool being one of them?

Secondly you get to be in the Scorpion clan, and everyone knows we are the cool kids :-)
