It's like a series of real life FMLs. I'm not even mad, that's amazing.

Today, I planned a fancy dinner for my boyfriend's birthday. The restaurant burned down. FML.

I'm not saying that would happen, but I AM saying that I'm not making reservations. :P

Aw, Jess, that's a whole mess of terrible. Hey, there's a bright side: at least you've got his clothing tastes down. But, ungh. I'm so bummed that you don't get to see a trifecta of rad bands (even if MCS DOES have more songs than "Everything is Alright," which, in turn, DOES have lyrics beyond the titular phrase).

I heartily recommend asking Chris to compile an Amazon wish list if you're at a loss for ideas. That's what we've been doing and it works quite nicely. The site's even all "Hey, someone might have already purchased that thing you're trying to buy as a gift for you" in the event that he'd inadvertently try to steal your gift-giving thunder.

Aside from being a little miffed and having to frantically text my mother (the shirt was from, where else, Kohl's) "ABORT. ABORT!! DO NOT BUY SHIRT!", I was pretty impressed with getting it right.

And yeah, the concert being canceled is pretty terrible, but a little hilarious (I heard River's Cuomo's ribs were cracking up about it... too soon?). Plus, I was so looking forward to teaching Chris the lyrics to "Everything is Alright" ...thus proving how MCS is totally my favorite band, more than it's your favorite one. ;)

I like that idea of the Amazon.com wish list, a LOT. I must do about 75% of my Christmas shopping on that site. Seriously good stuff. I'll have to nudge him about that, but of course I get the "oh, you don't HAVE to get me anything!"

Hahahaha, it's NEVER too soon to make jokes at Rivers's expense (especially if they're fabulously punny ones). When I heard about the bus accident, my very first thought was "This is what you get for selling your newest album with a Weezer-emblazoned Snuggie, guys."

thus proving how MCS is totally my favorite band, more than it's your favorite one. ;)
Hahahahaha. King Lear says: Hey, you wouldn't have been able to see them if I hadn't given you my ticket because I was too superbusy to go, so, like, let's talk about me some more, okay?

If Chris insists on being difficult to buy for, I hear you have a knack for making the best-ever scrapbooks. Just a thought. :)
