I think the Ron-Hermione friendship is often ignored in fic. But I also had fun with the idea that this could have been the moment where she really discovered how much she liked him.

And I love the reference about the first trip they shared to Hogsmeade by themselves :)

Poor Hermione. Yeah, this is how I see her then. I like how you worked in the date - makes perfect sense. And it reminds me to be angry with Harry all over again for even thinking Ron would go to Hogwarts due to his "pure-blood" status. While jealousy and insecurity drove Ron, there was nothing to make Harry think the Ron he'd known for seven years would be any different. Great job!
