Wow, I really enjoyed reading this and was taken right in. I looked at the Tumbler pic you shared, *after* reading, and my vision was very close! You did some awesome writing here girlfriend! :)
I am in awe of the writing talent you have. Writing stories, and just writing *well* is something I wish I could do, but it's just not in me. Oh well...thankfully there are people like you!

I did not read the story that precedes this,(if there is one)so I wasn't sure how Lisa went missing, never to return, but saying that it was under mysterious circumstances and that she will never return, certainly gives me ideas. And I was so relieved that Nanao was followed by the Captain and safe at the end!
If you wrote the story of what happened to Lisa, point me to it?
This is impressive writing!

These are all characters from the series called Bleach- it's one of the best anime series EVER. And longest running. And most complicated. But so worth getting into. It's actually on American tv, on Cartoon Network on Saturday nights on their Toonami programming (I think the first time it's on is at 12 or 12:30,isn't it MK?) There are places to read the manga (the illustrated novel form of it) online for free - http://www.mangapanda.com/94/bleach.html or watch it online (be careful, once you get started, it's addictive!) at http://www.anime44.com/category/bleach. You can also just read the fanfiction here and other sites, and look stuff up on Wikipedia and the special Bleach Wiki for more information and pictures of the characters- for instance, here's the entry about Captain Shunsui - who happens to be MK and my favorite character

Now that I've poked my nose in and given VRB a quick and dirty class in Bleach Fanfic 101, lemme add this-- GREAT JOB, MK! I always love fics that fill in holes in canon, and this does a great job doing that. Nanao would have had a tough time when Lisa disappeared, and this is a lovely speculation on how she would have handled it and how it would have affected her, how Shunsui would have handled her, and how the whole thing would have led to the relationship between the two of them beginning to develop even more, with Lisa gone. Beautifully done, girlfriend.
