So.... I took another proactive step in my life.

I unfriended Mom's side of the family off my FB.  (sis, step-dad, nephew, and assorted friends)

I'm waiting for the explosions from my 'sis'.   Background refresher on her; she's volatile, very violent and unstable. She's threatened to beat my face in several times when I did something that 'showed ( Read more... )

Block your sisters phone number. If you don't want to put up with that shit than you don't have too. I am so proud of you and I totally support this. :) If you ever need someone to rant too, I'm here. not all the time but ya know, I usually check in a couple times a day or something.

*hugs*

Be brave. Setting boundaries is the hardest thing to do with people who do not respect you. You have to teach them how to treat you and if they can't respect that or treat you like they would someone they actually do respect than there's no point in putting up with their bullshit anymore.

Also, look up the laws about recording people in your state, but, mostly I think it's legal. Anyway, if your sister comes over and starts shit, record it and when it gets violent just call the cops. They'll arrest her because you have her on tape/video saying threats against you.

I'm honestly not sure my phone has that feature. My cell is one of those govt. handout phones. It has very limited function; talk and text only (no camera no internet)

I also don't have the equipment to record anything. *shrugs* Hopefully it would still be taken seriously.

I'm just tired of being ignored by them. Like I don't even exist. As it is I have nothing that would benefit them. No cash, no car to drive them around...nothing.

It's just with my mental state I can't take their type of crazy. Not any more. I've more than enough to last a life time. It makes me really glad I didn't grow up with them. I'd probably be in some type of institution by now.

I'm not even sure she'll notice anything until later in the week.
