on existence and other variables to existence

we're all sitting here wondering when we're going to be able to redeem our "did the right thing" points for prizes when all we really find ourselves getting is robbed and thrown in the mud.

When I heard that people were killed by the hurricane in Haiti, I was worried. But I'm glad you're okay. Unless you were robbed and thrown in the mud, in which case, I'm glad you're not dead.

yeah, i'm good to go. also, we're still trying to figure out how they counted all of the people that died. i mean, it seems like it would be almost impossible to determine if somebody was killed by the hurricane or not. sure, they could do an autopsy or something but clearly they aren't going to try that hard (meaning the gov't here) to find dead people. so, seriously, where are the dudes counting hurricane-murdered bodies? i haven't seen em. that's why i don't trust the media... because having reliable stats on the people that were killed by the hurricane in haiti seems both (1) incredibly difficult and (2) not worth the effort.

nobody in seguin died as far as i've heard and news probably would have spread if sombebody had. quite a few trees were knocked down but nothing too attrocious. these people are used to rolling w/ the punches, ya know? so they rolled w/ each of the hurricane's punches and moved on w/ the more important task of daily survival.
