I read about this on danah boyd's site. She studies social networking sites (I use her essay on the social differences between facebook and myspace users when I teach my gened class about sns). Her commenters said that Brad will be coming back onto the advisory board -- there's some hope that SUP will show greater understanding of the lj community than 6A did (not that that's saying much). That the announcement was delayed until after the election, though, is a bad sign.
