If you haven't gotten a Buddy Poppy this weekend, you should.  They are free, handed out by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and are a great way to help wounded soldiers make a little spending cash.  If you don't know the story behind the Buddy Poppy, you should read this:  The Buddy Poppy Story

Indeed.

I recently found out that Vogon is not a member of the VFW even though he's eligible, so now I have an idea of what to give him for his birthday.

Totally look into getting him in the VFW - the service officer alone can help get him any benefits that he might be entitled to from the VA!
