So what should have been a decent weekend turned into a snot fest in my body...I've got snot coming and going out of all sorts of places...my nose is jammed full, my throat is slimey with it, my eyes even have it....seriously...just gross...I'm hacking, coughing, and have a throat that feels like sandpaper....just yucky....there used to be a

If you can tolerate spraying anything up your nose, plain saline is good for nasal congestion. (Doesn't have to be a neti pot or anything fancy, just a basic squirt bottle will do.)

My weekend started inauspiciously with the trip home from the VA taking over twice as long as it should have because we changed our plans on the fly, but tonight I will be going to the Flying Saucer for the first time. I'm not sure how exciting it will be for me as a mostly non-drinker, but a friend is having their baby shower there so I'll have someone to not-drink with. Heh.

I hope you're feeling better soon, summer colds are unpleasant.
