Kaz may not be free for an update, but it sounds like Kitten started to come around enough to attack everyone who tried to touch her. This could be (worst case) neurological issues, or (best case) she's "just" feral. Either way, this is probably not a kitten for our household. It doesn't sound likely that over the next few hours they can rule out neurological issues with enough confidence for us to take her someplace that accepts feral cats.
Seems that we have the decision making authority. An option is to keep her quarantined at our place until we can get her tested again to see if she's healthy but just mean. This sounds like her best case scenario. Otherwise, we dunno. Seriously, no clue what to do about this cat.
I took Beans out before I left for work, and she went straight to the spot where we found the kitten. I'm sure we read way too much into her emotional state, but I think she wanted to check up on it.
I don't think there's any way I can be productive today.

One of many reasons why you rock, but I think we're just chalking this up to a karma investment.
