"The Case of the Not-So-Nice Nurse" is a book near and dear to me because is it a lesbian parody of Nancy Drew. And I hate the old Nancy Drew books with a deep and fiery passion. All the men in the book are either gay or evil, with the exception of one who is just very, very stupid.

I'm reading Good Omens right now, which is abfab and which would perhaps make a nice companion to the wiccan lit. I don't really know.

I could e-mail you the rough draft of my Nanowrimo and you could laugh at me for a good long while and correct me in various useful ways, if you wanted to. It has lots of chicks and two gay guys and a couple of evil guys and and I don't think you'll find the patriarchy very present at all, so that's always nice.

I <3 your icon. And I've been doing the whole revising thing for my friends' writings, so I am happy to do it for you, too (if you'd like).

Good Omens - that one for sure should be on my list. The other sounds very interesting.

Thanx!

I am afraid that I have fallen deeply, deeply in love with Gaiman+Pratchett's interpretation of the four horsepersons of the apocolypse. Just...guh.

And I am so seriously stoked that you'll read my thingy. Thank you ever so. I will be sending it along shortly.

And Clue? Is made entirely out of all the things I like best in the world.

Too tired to really think now, but have you read "Female Chauvenist Pigs" yet (Ariel Levy)?

Well, I'm sure you will think of more when you are awake. I have not read that yet, though.

Feminist books? That's a toughy. I hear that Maureen Dowd's "Are Men Necessary" is pretty good in terms of non-fiction. I read non-fiction almost exclusively and can't think of any book in which feminism is a main theme other than my text book from feminist philosophy, and that's an academic snoozefest and very long.

"Privilege, Power, and Oppression" by Allen G. Johnson is a really good one I just read in its entirety for a class. It's relatively short, and exposes privileges of every form, including class, race, gender, sexuality, and disability status. I could loan you that one though if you wanted. Can't think of anything else right now.

I've heard of Dowd's book, but have not yet picked it up. I might take you up on the Johnson book, though.
