I voted today. But more than that, I feel accomplished because I actually did research and knew what I was voting for. Normally I just create a nice pattern of NO's and YES's on the ballot. It's funner that way

I was somehow registered Libertarian, but I was like "No, please -- what the hell??" and they made me non-partisan so I can vote in the primaries.
I was amazed at how simple the props were this time around. When I was in high school and researching the 1996 election there were so many and all were crazy-complicated!
I've never been a very politically minded person, so even with all the research that I've been doing to make myself more aware of what's going on around me, I still don't understand a lot of it. I think too many of the rules and regulations we have on the election process are extremely antiquated. It's a system that doesn't work anymore, and it's amazing that it hasn't been changed to keep up with the world at large. *shrug*
BTW - Hi! :-) I'm going to be in LA in April (my sister entered a beauty pageant *gag*) so let me know if you're around and we absolutely MUST get together!
