Do you have a favorite character in the show ?

It's also nice to be reminded of the times I still liked Nate - I loved most of the characters despite all their flaws, but Nate became really hard to like in the last season. :(
Too bad I don't have a SFU icon to go with the post (that's the curse of having the limit of 15 icons!)...
For quotes not mentioned by Miss Kitty, I like the one heard in this video:
Brenda: The future is just a fucking concept that we use to avoid living today.
also:
Claire: Well, isn't it comforting to know that being miserable is still better than being an idiot?
“When people get into your heart, they stay for good.” (I'm not sure who said that and when.)
There are probably other great ones I don't remember. The soulmate quote is one of my favorites. If I believed in soulmates, that's how I'd define it.
But in the end, did Nate even have a soulmate? Did his soul really grow, what was "most Nate"? I'm not sure. Maybe it's just because I didn't like where he ended in S5.

"The future is just a fucking concept that we use to avoid living today" is in my list, but I forgot that Brenda was the one who said it, I'll edit my post :)

Word.
I agree that Nate wasn't at his best in season 5, but I think Brenda really was the right person for him. They were both fucked up, but I think that, at some levels, in despite of his freaks, they really understood each other. She matured faster than he did.
I loved what Brenda told to Maggie after she brought her a quiche, I don't remember exactly the quote, but she said Nate wasn't in love with her, but loved the image she gave of him (something like that).

The finale absolutely destroyed me. I have never cried so hard from a TV show EVER.
I love all these quotes, too, but especially Brenda's: "We’re all wounded. We carry our wounds around with us throughout life and eventually they kill us. Things happen that leave a mark in space, in time… in us."
This is so true, isn't it?
I can't wait to get the box set and watch it all over again.
