So, last Saturday I attended the Dems rally, and got to meet Gov. Granholm and see some of the other candidates (Bart Stupak, our UP rep) as well. I wrote an article about Granholm for the station. Absolutely. Making something illegal does not stop it from happening. It simply makes it more risky because there is no clean, safe, and legal option available. I read some about back-alley abortions, and I could never be happy seeing abortions criminalized knowing that was the end result.

Before abortion was legal, the numbers of women dying from illegal procedures was extremely high. So, technically, supporting the right to choose is pro-life. Lives that already exist.

Exactly. It is best for society as a whole to allow that choice.
