In exactly twelve minutes, I will be leaving to go on a ridiculously long flight only to arrive in EUROPE!!! WOOHOO!!!!! (I have never been overseas before...) See y'all in ten days!

holy freaking cow. i leave for europe in less than three days and i am SO not ready. that's why this entry is so short. lots is going on, but my head is spinning with "hafta-dos"

plus, it's actually sunny and i'm not going to miss the opportunity to go on a quick walk

I have developed a keen eye for spotting every yellow rental truck I pass on the road.

Oh, and I was reading a book to my second graders yesterday and one of the characters in the book said, "I gotta get out of here!" and I nearly started MOOOOing. Right there in the middle of a read-aloud.

This is getting ridiculous.

Okay, I am now officially excited to go to Europe (even though I have zero dollars and zero credit on my visa so i won't be able to buy anything cool). 18 days and counting!!!

Oh, and spring begins tomorrow... yay!

Well each morning we sing a "morning song" to make sure everyone is awake and to bring a little bit of music and happiness into the classroom. So I have a classroom management tool that I use to reduce the amount of tattletales that happen every day. It is important to validate 2nd graders tattletales in a way - they are essentially showing you that they know right from wrong and that they know the classroom rules.
