So my foreman came in yesterday and gave me an actual goal for cars dropped off next Monday for repairs. i had the most disgusting, bodily fluid-filled, pornographic dream EVER last night. it really was quite nauseating. i'm disturbed that it originated from my subconscious.

It is quite apparent that I am no longer an outsider here at the body shop. I'm still a weirdo, but I'm one of the guys, now, so they're ok with it.

for the most part, my name has become "sweetie" or "cutie" or "hon" or some other such term of endearment by the guys. steve still calls me delia, but for that grumpy old man, using my actual name is a term of endearment. :)

it doesn't bother me, one bit. they don't call brandie or melinda pet names, they call them melinda and brandie. ha! i like

It struck me as odd today when I heard someone bragging about how much money he's made for his employer. It is a source of pride to him. I bet he'd be more proud if he'd made that much money for himself and his family.

I was told today that the world needs more people like me because I'm "pleasant." It hurts my heart that something as simple and effortless as being pleasant is a rarity.

Wanna take a wild guess which part of my job I put off as long as possible, quite often neglecting? Making phone calls. How funny is that? And when I DO make a call, of course, I use all my phone skills to close them on setting an appt to drop off their car.  I'm way good at it. Imagine that... 

so here's a funny thing...i dreamed about filing car folders last night. how interesting that my job is that far into my subconscious mind, already!
