Can anyone tell me how to block an LJ user from showing up when they post? I was in a lovely forum with people sharing pictures of their cats and some truly sick individual using the name MUTOBOY posted pictures of a cat, before, during and after being doused with lighter fluid and set on fire. Not drawings REAL photos of a REAL kitten! I don't

I'm not sure if this will work because I've been lucky enough not to have to use it before, but I think if you hover over his icon the little list of actions will come up and you can click 'ban user everywhere' which should mean you won't come across him again.

I'm so sorry you had to see that. That is truly disgusting and it's awful that s/he thought that was something they should post to upset others.

Actually I just checked and I'm not sure the ban thing will work sorry hon, I think it just stops them seeing/replying to your entries/comments. Would definitely recommend reporting the user to the mods of the comm though if possible.
