I keep meaning to start posting here more often, and have not been all that good at actually doing it. But since there seems to have been a slight resurgence on LJ of late, this would probably be a good time to start making more of an effort

When Marinetti got cancer, the mental line I drew was chemo. I watched my step-dad go through it and with a human, at least you know why you're suffering. An animal doesn't. We ended up going with a "wait and see" approach with a bit of palliative treatment to deal with the catastrophic weight loss; last January, I didn't know if he had weeks or months.
I know you're doing everything you can for Kiska and how much you love her and she loves you.
(And I do plan to donate; it looks like GoFundMe doesn't take PayPal, though, which is my usual "immediate click and donate" option.)

At any rate, it's a painful decision to have to make, even when there isn't even really a decision.
