i drove through white sands earlier in the week. it's pretty neat. it's all rocky rough dirt desert forever and then you get to that one spot and there are pure white drifts of sand...but it's fenced off. apparently you arent supposed to make sand castles on nuclear test sites. go figure.

well you'd think they'd at least let you make uranium castles. it's probably easier to mold than sand. maybe you could make a uranium mermaid or a uranium octopus that mutates into a uranium super-evil-radioactive octopus. hmm white sands is really missing out on some prime tourist opportunities...
