Okay, so this is mainl going to be random rants and my writing.  I write a lot, so...
Oh, and I have a few novel-length stories, so I'm going to post them each in seperate journal entries.  They are a bit old, but it's just easier than linking to them when I post chapter 2-whatever...

OK, I agree in the most part. Harry Potter won't go out until a year or two after the movies, much like Twilight. I agree that they can live in harmony. I agree that Twilight fans are rude and obnoxious and childish. I agree that they are in two separate categories and shouldn't be compared. But some of it seems a little rude. Just because Twilight fans are being rude and obnoxious to you, doesn't mean that you have to be to them. And seriously? You've got a sister (aka me) that loves Twilight and ISN'T one of those obnoxious fans saying Twilight is replacing Harry Potter, and is reading what you write, and even though she knows it's not directed at her, it's still slightly offending.

But, I agree on the most part. Both are great series; they're just very different and shouldn't be compared but can live in harmony.

Really, it's rude? My sister was one of the people who said I should write it, and we came up with the arguments together. Your right, she's not one of those rude, obnoxious fans, and I think the rational ones (like her) won't find it as offensive. I tried to be as kind as possible, though, can you point out places that I was rude? More than one Twilight fan has read it and not really been offended. Sorry if I sound defensive, I'm not trying to be.

I tend to think that the fans are that way because they are young. There was never as many reports or hate mail coming from Harry Potter fans directed at Harry haters, and I think that's because more of the fanbase are adults, whereas Twilight appeals to a younger audience. Not totally, my mother loves Twilight, but mostly, to a younger audience. So it's not as much their fault as it is just their age.

I totally forgot you are my sister. I'm so embaressed....I'm sorry. What's offensive about it. Callie wasn't offended and she loves Twilight. And you helped me come up with the arguments.
