Stepping Down from EGL

Tonight, I'm officially stepping down as administrator of egl, and writing the announcement post for the handover is much harder than I thought it would be. I'm normally quite good at writing official posts and business letters, but this one isn't coming out so easily.

Oh wow, the "guard" is really changing at egl lately. : ( But hopefully this will be a good move for you personally and free up more time for your personal life and Megan Maude!

Yeah, it's high time though, and I'm confident that laiferr will be a great admin. I've been considering handing the community to her since really very shortly after she became a mod.

I think I'm going to be able to have a lot more creative energy for doing stuff with Megan Maude. I feel very free right now, having stepped down. It kind of reminds me of how I felt when I graduated from college. It felt like I could do anything.

LOL, that cracks me up. Before you took over, I initially joined LJ because I found a post in EGL flaming my "egl" clothing.
