My Last Birthday Ever!

As of December 22, I'm 29. I'm as old as I'm ever going to get! Not really, but it's funny to joke about. What girl really wants to turn 30? This year, my birthday was on a Tuesday, and so I decided to just do something fairly chill. I got all dolled up in my awesome new Christmas blouse and went to The Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier

the crazy musical thing is called a Calliope! I love them ^_^ They are also sometimes called Steam Organs and were very popularly used in the Circus (how i found out about them) and on steamboats. I find them super fascinating and if I had the space I'd totally collect them!

Happy Birthday! It looked really fun. When you show pictures I almost always find something in common with them (chairs, fabrics, whatever). This time it is depression glass collecting! I have been collecting pink depression glass since I was 10 years old. I also collect depression and atomic era clear glass kitchen wares - mainly measuring cups - and vintage pyrex. Oh, and a specific vintage china set by Taylor Smith and Taylor.

I have that Toshiba netbook too!!! But mine is brown and called Monstertje (Dutch for Little Monster [because he runs gmail soooooooooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooow, does yours do that too?])
