the state of washington looks and smells and feels so alive (it being a temperate rainforest and whatnot) and it's making me feel very alive. this morning i woke up in the middle of cascade mountains rising out of a thick mist. i uncrumpled myself from the train-seat sleeping position and glued my face to the window. i have no words to describe it
