VEGAS IN SEPTEMBER!!! Ok its like 4 months away but its gonna be heaven after my hellish spring AND summer semesters. What should I do there, people?! Suggestions, suggestions, suggestions .. please :)
u know what i never understood?! the whole tax thing during customs. cuz everyone always tells me that when i buy things, to just use it when i come back to avoid taxes but i totally dont get that!! isnt there a certain amount i can bring back?!
wha?! you didn't know?! awwww you're so cute hehehe yeah, when you buy stuff, take off all the tags and wear them a few times to make it look like it's urs from canada. (except leave a few to claim) that's ghetto style. lol or else if you are over the limit they will tax you if ur unlucky.
if you are away for 48 hours from canada, you are exempt $250 worth of goods. (gifts, souveniers, clothes, shoes, etc.) and you are allowed 200 cigarettes/a carton of smokes and 1.1 L of alcohol. the next level is if you're away for 7 days, you are exempt I believe $750 worth of goods. Sooo I know Vegas packages are usually only 3-4 days, you are only exempt $250. Sucks huh even though you are away for 4 days it should be $500 but it's not, it's $250 only. So on the customs form (where you have to fill out on the plane before landing) just put an amount under $250 or even $250 and make sure you have the tags/receipts on you totalling that amount in case they stop and search your stuff. It's so crazy at customs I hate it. I dread it

Oh thanks for the tip!!! I seriously had NO IDEA!!! I've always wondered why ppl tell me to write down less then what I really bought. $750 is ridiculous enough but $250?! I can buy that much in like makeup and bath and body works stuff!!!
Do people ever get caught?! I really don't wanna get caught because this is definitely going to be a shopping trip.
How are the outlets? I've never been to them before!! Are they a total waste of time? My friend got back from the one in downtown not too long ago and she got tons of tennis dresses for really cheap but I've never really had luck at any outlet before :(
