All the things you mentioned are trivial: money, material things, etc.... None of it makes sense without God. The Bible says "Do not ocnform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God." Romans 12:2
Mom thinks you are so confused because you don't have the direction of God to help guide your life. If there was no God do you really think your mom could have forgiven me for all that has happened so quickly. God forgives us for all our sins too. It is by the grace of God that your mom and I are together today.
