Icon meme

Lina chose:

1. Okay, I never get to use this icon as much as I'd like to, and I love the keywords~ It's from a scene where Bulma's actually doing something brave - she's flirting with General Blue so he'll stop trying to murder Krillin.

2. Celine is one of my favorite B/V fan artists, and a few of my icons are from her artwork. She tends to draw Bulma more younger-looking than the manga/anime, so they work well for camp!Bulma. I wanted a "walled" icon, and this one fit perfectly! ♥

3. Proof that Bulma sometimes sleeps commando! XD This was one of the scenes where poor Yamcha managed to catch a glimpse of Bulma when she was naked (the stars were added to shield the younger audiences), before he overcame his fear of women. I use this one for sleeping, or if she's been knocked out/dead.

1. This is a general eating/"I can cook" icon. Claire and her mom had just made cupcakes for the football team - a "bonding moment" as her mom later explained. (Oh, and Claire had proved that she doesn't need oven mitts to remove hot things from the oven~)

2. "I walked through fire and didn't get burned." After all kinds of attempts to injure herself, Claire made a last-minute decision to see what would happen if she ran into a burning rail car. She ended up rescuing an inujured man and... lots of other stuff happened.

3. I'm updating some of Claire's icons from Season 2, since she's been here a year now. This is from the scene where West had invited himself to breakfast. Claire's father had just shown up, and West panicked. He flew off right before Dad walked up to Claire. She had to pull one of her fake "glad to see you" faces in a hurry; this image is just before she did. I think it works well for those... clueless moments.

Livio chose:

1. Another of my favorites~ Goku stared at the full moon, and turned into the giant ape. Unfortunately, he doesn't know who his friends are in this form, so as far as he's concerned, Bulma's simply finger food! This is a great icon for the monsters in camp.

2. Oh jeez, I'm going to have to go through my anime and find this scene! She usually shoots Goku, so I'm going to take a guess and say she's going after either Krillin or Oolong with that hammer. Or maybe Roshi. If they piss her off, she'll let 'em know it!

3. I think it's pretty clear what she's "saying" in this one? XD Emperor Pilaf had captured everyone and was threatening Bulma with the "secret weapon," which happened to be a kiss. Bulma wasn't happy; no siree.

1. Poor thing. Something Very Bad had just happened to her friend Jackie, and Claire was running to get help. I don't get to use this one much, since she keeps out of trouble in camp. Mostly.

2. Yeah, Claire can be a little mischievous now and then. This icon's actually from one of HP's many photo shoots, and I love the messy hair~

3. Keep your eye on her - she's about to jump! ...right off the "Hollywood" sign. XD This is another of her newer icons from Season 2. I like her attitude in this image.

Soma chose:

1. This is from the same scene above with General Blue. Bulma tried really hard to save Krillin. What a good friend, hn? ♥ I'd totally love to get an animated icon of this scene, because she does some... adorable dips and wiggles.

2. This image is from the end credits of Dragon Ball. It's pure emo. *pets Bulma*

3. Some of my icons come from Dragon Ball artwork designs, like this one. They tend to show more of Bulma's adventurous side, rather just ♥s and bitchiness~

1. From a photo op for Season 1. If you'll check out Hiro's icons, he has a similar one~ It's a perfect "you're my hero" image. XD

2. Already answered in Lina's section.

3. New icon, from a promo still for Season 2. I really like this image. It's pensive, lonely, and thoughtful.

Keiichi chose:

1. VINE RAAAAPE! Oh, wait. This scene is after the gang escaped from General Blue, but he Tracked Them Down! He trapped them with these magical ropes/vines and left them all to die by timebomb. They were rescued by Lunch, of all people, and Goku took care of General Blue, hur hur.

2. Bulma had used her Micro Band and she was nestled snugly in Goku's smelly shirt. He was flying on Kinto'un and they were on their way to an island to... find another dragon ball, of course! Bulma was pissed at Yamcha at the time.

3. Which is the real Bulma? Well, it ain't the one on the left. That's Oolong, the shape-shifting pig. Bulma talked him into pretending to be her so "she" could let Roshi, the pervert, oggle her boobs. Oolong got a little carried away, though, and let Roshi do more than just look.

1. This scene is early in Season 1, but I still love it! Claire had dropped her class ring down the sink while the garbage disposal was running and reached down to grab it. Wow, those are some sharp blades! Her mother didn't notice when she came up to hug Claire, and we got to watch her fingers fix themselves. Too cool! I use this, and other "injury" icons for when Claire gets hurt in camp.

2. This screen shot is from Season 1, from the episode where Claire shows up at her father's company to get some paper to make that famous Homecoming sign. She knows how to play her Daddy, and gives him one of her sweet smiles after she gets her way~

3. Zach had just given Claire the book by Doctor Suresh and was explaining how it might explain why she can regenerate. Then Jackie walks up and starts taunting Zach, and... Well, this is when we learn Claire stands up for her friends~ I like the "I don't get it..." expression, though.

Tohru chose:

1. Akira Toriyama had several of his friends draw Dragon Ball artwork. This icon was made from artwork drawn by Suzuki Shinya, who draws Mr. Fullswing. This one is her "I mean business" face.

2. As usual, Bulma's ordering Goku around. This is from early in the show, right before they meet Oolong for the first time. It's handy for her giving directions, or just telling someone to sit down and shut up.

3. Bulma was skipping school. Again. She'd just flown home on her super cycle and was screeching to a halt in front of Goku and a police officer. He worried about her skipping school, but she told him she was bored and left it at that. I use this icon when she's talking about the cycle or giving people rides on it. Wheee!

1. All these icons are from Season 2. This one is used for when Claire's being... a smartass? XD Or smirking, or just. Telling it like it is.

2. Similar to the popular image from Season 1, here she is again, looking up. I use it for just that - looking up, or wondering, or if she's confused.

3. Hugs! ♥ I have two hugging icons. The other one's very emo, so this hugging icon is for "nice" hugs between friends or her boyfriend.

Rayne chose:

1. Akira Toriyama had several of his friends draw Dragon Ball artwork. This icon was made from artwork drawn by Yabuki Kentarou, who draws Black Cat. I usually use this one when she's introducing herself or relaxed.

2. I use this icon a lot! It's her, "I'm happy, I'm glad to be here with you," wistful expression.

3. When Bulma was stuck in the bunny outfit, I used this one when she wanted to get across a point, or when she was embarrassed, or if she was flirting. ♥

1. This image is from Season 1. If Claire's thinking about home, or feels sad or awkward, I'll use this icon. I use it if she's trying to avoid the subject, too.

2. This is a generic "grinning" icon, but I'll also use it if Claire's feeling a little flirtatious. It's from a promo tour for Heroes.

3. I really like this one! It's from a promotional still from Season 2. I use it if she's thinking, or pensive, or if she needs to be "examining" something, like if she's reading.

Ikki chose:

1. I'm not exactly sure where this came from, but I believe it's when Bulma built the tracking 'bot and was tracking Goku. Once I unpack my manga, I'll double-check and correct this if I need to. I use it when Bulma's in "geek mode."

2. Hah! Oolong had just shown up, and Bulma pushed Goku out the door and told him she'd be cheering for him - behind the door~ She's peeking through a small hole, like the chicken-shit person she is in the face of danger. That's the context I use it, too~

3. See above.

1. Claire had just stabbed Ted Sprague with a sedative so he wouldn't blow up her house. He still did some damage, and this is what she looks like when she steps out of the house. By the time she reaches her family, she looks normal again, with the exceptin of a little soot here and there~ I don't get to use this icon enough, obviously. I think it'll be a good one if she's ever turned into a zombie. ♥

2, 3. See above.

Ranma chose:

1. I'm not sure which episode this is from, but Bulma'd just done a "bzuh, I'm stupid" gesture. She doesn't do these often and admits to them even less! Obviously, I don't use this icon much~

2. Yes, I use this icon! Especially now that she has a boyfriend~ ♥ It's from a doujinchi about her and Yamcha, actually.

3. This image is from one of the manga covers. I had to photoshop part of her face, though, because it was hidden behind Goku's hat. I've used it a few times, usually when the thread involves a pirate ship. :D

1, 2, 3. See above.

Gohan chose:

1. Claire has a temper, and in this image, she's taking it out on her father. I pity anyone she lets loose on in camp, because she doesn't hold back when she's pissed.

2. See above.

3. This image is taken from Season 1, from the episode from the future, when she'd colored her hair dark. Nathan (who was actually Sylar) had just stopped her in her tracks, and was proceeding to remove the top of her skull. Cool, huh? This icon is reserved for when she's injured, obviously.

Ryuuken chose:

1. Bulma's explaining why her friends shouldn't tell Goku what happens to him when he looks at a full moon. See? She does have a heart!

2. See above.

3. Krillin did a Bad Thing with good intentions right before this scene. Yamcha was fighting the Invisible Man, and losing, so Krilling got this great idea to have Roshi get a quick peek at Bulma's boobs. It worked, because the pervert got a major nosebleed and doused the Invisible Man in blood. Yamcha won the fight, yay! But Bulma got pissed! Krillin got a minor concussion...

1. This is near the end of Season 1, when Claire and Uncle Peter are waiting outside that building in New York City. She's all sad because he just told her she might have to shoot him if he can't control himself. D'awww.

2. This image is from a press tour, and I can't imagine what got HP so upset looking! Regardless, I like the expression, and I've been using it a lot since I made the icon~

3. This is from Season 2. It's from some outtakes during the cheering scene when Bob comes to school for Claire.

Sokka chose:

1, 2, 3. See above.

<-- Yes, that's really HP! ♥

1. From Season 1. Claire found out who her biological father was and is hiding so she can sneak a peek at him. This image isn't actually in the show; it's a promotional image. I liked it because it shows her vulnerability, though.

2. This is the episode from Season 1 when her brother discovers her ability. I use this when I want to show her paying attention, or if she's bored.

3. Yes, Sokka, this really is HP! It's from a photo shoot for Vanity Faire, done in 2006. The more risque icons I have of her are for the Ivy/Claire AU we did.

Mikoto chose:

1. Another image from the scene where she's trying to seduce General Blue in order to save Krillin. One day I'll have an animated icon from that scene, because her antics are too fun to not be put in motion~ ♥

2. This is from the episode when the gang was taken prisoner by the evil Emperor Pilaf and he'd taken Bulma away to torture her with the "Secret Weapon," which only ended up being a kiss. All the same, Bulma didn't want anything to do with it! It's a good expression for her when she wants to convey something's gross, though.

3. See above.

1. See above.

2. This picture was taken when HP was at the beach romping around with Steven Coletti when they were dating. I like the shot and use it for "cuddling" scenes with her boyfriend~

3. This image is from a photo shoot that HP did last year. I actually did very little to it to ho-ify it for the Pimpuraba post; just added a little color to her cheeks and darkened the eye shadow and lipstick. Naughty, Claire!

1. Reply to this post, and I will pick three of your icons for each of your characters.
2. I might ask specific questions about the icons! What context were they pulled from; what coloring technique you used, wtf is with those keywords, ect.
3. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
4. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
