You have the right idea hon. It sounds like his mom is pretty great. If you go and get a special candle, you will be able to have it for the next time you need to see a visual reminder. He is still alive inside of your heart as long as you keep him there.

I am truly thankful to have been blessed with his love for as long as I was.

In my opinion, this is the best attitude to have. When my good friend died, I would just focus on valuing the time that I did have with him. It's stayed with me too, and it made things a lot easier to think about.
