So, my father has been sick for quite some time. He underwent major surgery a few months ago for an almost fatal bout with diverticulitis, and as a result lost a considerable amount of weight. My dad has this diverticulitis you speak of, and I hope it never gets that bad. I'm glad homeboy has gained some weight!

While I've heard of diverticulitis, I don't think I ever knew what it was so I looked it up. It does not sound pleasant whatsoever. Glad he's doing better!

My mom has it, and it's miserable. We pulled her out of a hospital and refused the surgery options the offered since they seemed so vague about everything. She's been pretty okay since, but odd things seem to work, like she swears by Centrum all in one vitamins...at night before bed....and if she doesn't take one, it's ouch.
