Acknowledging that my lj friends range from an agnostic (I can't remember if he's atheist or agnostic, but most of his comments about the idea of a deity sound more agnostic than atheist) to uber-Catholic, I'm curious of how y'all would answer this question: How does praying make you feel? Like I've said before, I sometimes have trouble going beyond the...mental...aspects of prayer. When I can transend getting stuck in the thought process, I'd say that joy is what I most "feel." I also feel extreemly refreshed. I guess that's what I really "get" the most out of, in the immediate feed-back kind of way.

if i pray, which is rare, usualy i feel disembodied...seperate from my body...so i guess floaty...and usualy i try to visualise my prayer as wispy smoke rising to the heavens.

when I pray its usually right before I fall asleep so its more like a feeling of being calm. I'm not really sure for myself if it really does any good but I feel better covering my bases in case there is anyone listening. I've never really answered a question like that before but its good because I need to re-evaluate the spirituality in my life this year, its one of my resolutions.
