(Because the sprogs have morphed into adults, these duties seem to consist of loaning my car to M:TNG-2, plus offering moral support. But he's really good at the moral support.) Close! I think it's one of the last made in that size. Even Cadillac stopped producing those monsters eventually. But we always had cars that big when I was growing up, even when Dad couldn't afford Caddys. I particularly remember the Star Chief and Olds '98. Even when I was a teenager, I couldn't believe how much gas they used.

My mom has fought the odds so long, I stopped expecting this and managed to get into a kid's mindset that parents are immortal.

I've missed you. And yes it's hard to see a parent age. My dad still claims, illness and all, it's good to be on this side of the grass.

Mom tried to baby the car, but she doesn't have a garage and the sod truck didn't help! And she keeps pointing out that she doesn't like the alternative to aging either.
