I'm still here, it's just, recently when I've thought about posting what I was going to post about seems so trivial compared to things going on in the world, especially the wildfires next door that I just say nothing and I don't know how to overcome that.

It's always nice to see you. Daughters earning actual money is an exciting whole new prospect - and kitchen cupboards actually seem like a good way to spend a little of the bonanza, now that you mention it!

I'm sorry that your own health has been a bother - I hope you are now fully, fighting, fit.

I still can't get over the fact that my older daughter is self-sufficient, even if I do send care packages with things like nice towels that I know it's hard for new households to manage. I never doubted it intellectually, and she's such a control freak it was inevitable she'd grab onto life with both hands, but I keep thinking of her as a little girl.

I'm doing much better, but I still can't walk quickly or go long distances. I need to build myself up so next time I go on vacation with keswindhover, I can at least keep her in sight, if not actually keep up!

Mine is actually back under the parental roof for the moment - but earning. She has begun her 'articles' here on the island to finally become a fully grown-up lawyer.
