I love the way that headline makes it sound like the doll was his partner..., um, I mean moll. I have this image of the doll driving the getaway car.

I also enjoy the subtext of surprise that those things are so expensive.

I feel bad for the female store clerk. He pulled a knife? He made her jump the counter? Like the potential creep factor of being a woman working the night shift at a sex store wasn't bad enough.

I'm glad she got away. And even among violent sex criminals, his behavior is freaky. "Small talk," followed by assault with a knife, and then, "Oh, well, I'll take the blow up doll instead."

My wholly uninformed diagnosis is "meth head." This is the midwest.

Also I like the braindead comment in the story that there was no sign of forced entry. The store was open when he came in, moron!

It's nice that they took the time to correct the information about the value of the doll, too.
