How do you have a "missed connection" at home?

I haven't been single in decades, so someone needs to explain this to me. Specifically, the top Indiana result. I understand how you can see someone in a store, on a train or at the gym and miss your chance to hook up. Hawaii wins for having many of those fleeting encounters that leave the romantic or just plain horny wanting more on the beach.

Maybe they've been sparking with the electrician? Yearning for the yardman? Measuring the meter reader?

Oh, the puns could go on and on...

Life according to Craigslist is sad, scary and weird as hell.

Someone could be continuously and repeatedly failing to make time with his own spouse.

Wait. That actually sounds pretty likely.

Indeed! It would be kind of cute to flirt with a spouse on the internet, but in this case the spouse would have to be trolling Craigslist, so the cuteness factor evaporates.

Clearly they don't go out much in Indiana.

But how about the state where they have so many missed connections in the car? How often do you meet interesting and fanciable people that you don't know in your car? Do they pick up a lot of hitch-hikers?

That's in Georgia. It probably reflects a lot of people stuck in Atlanta traffic, alleviating boredom by flirting with the person in the next car over.

Because I'm deeply bored, I look at the Craigslist personals, and practically none of the guys who posts can spell or punctuate worth a damn. The rare ones who can I find I'm not compatible with, but I want to respond with effusive praise that they can express themselves in writing, and wish them well finding that certain someone.

Maybe it's because they're trying to type with one hand.
