My hands turn the knobs of the double doors as the dining room welcomes me, yet to my surprise, Nanami is here to dine with me. Quite a rare moment indeed. When was the last time we actually had dinner together? Come to think of it...I can't seem to recall at all. I can honestly feel this defeaning sound of silence about to choke us when our eyes meet until...
"Big brother! How was your day today? Everything go alright with student council?"
...she breaks in unison with her usual comforting smile. As much as I wish to offer her my smile in return, my lips can't seem to form an unfeigned one-- or at least a perfect smile of pretense, enough to cover my seemingly weary mood. I walk little to my chair, hers was at the other end of this long ornate table. Such a lonely banquet for two. And when my back finally rests against this gilted arm-chair, her adherent stare begins to tire me more. She remains patiently waiting for my response, when all the while, her words seem to vanish in the air, as my mind drifts somewhere beyond her ( ... )

I'm also hoping that Kozue and Nanami's exchange of catty comments will develop into an all-out war - after all, Nanami did see Kozue 'come between' her brother and her. ;-)
