Geesh, the amount of times dead batteries have gotten in the way of people producing pics. Wonder what will power cameras several hundred years from now? Hopefully we won't still be relying on batteries and chargers. :/
Maybe we'll take pictures with our minds? :) Ha ha. Can't wait to have you back up and clicking, Fawnie! Thank you for another lovely note. xo
I'm flattered you consider me CAPABLE of such a cool feat, Nowie, but alas... it's just the handy work of my heart mirror.
I plop my little Pudge factory in front & it does all the work for me. No fancy pantsy trickery involved. :) Here are a few more to give you an idea of what I mean. These were both snapped last September...
wow Creative Queeeeen! :) such a perfectly seamless shot. gah! all aroundddd impressed. sometimes when i look at really cool photos i try to piece together how the photographer pulled it off. i do this with your photos too! trying to figure out what ya put behind Sades there so the backdrop would be all dark & make her pop out. thought you might be standing behind her in a dark shirt ;) or something like that... or maybe ya filled it in via Photoshop afterwards.. haha, stuff like that. ANYWAYS! i get excited seeing your stuff cuz they all look so effortless & mazing. and everytime those curtains pop up with the green wall i secretly get all happy. where are these curtains? Sadie's room?
In the pic of the day I had a big cloth Marilyn print (w/ brown velvet backing) turned back to front & propped up against me. In the first shot above us I used zilch. You can sort of see the reflection of the street outside in her left little faerie wing. I don't even know how that happened, and in the right one I did EXACTLY as you guessed... wore black & stood right behind her. :) She wasn't even 3 months yet so she couldn't sit up on her own. Trust me, I've taken trillions of these pics... only one or two in every shoot turns out okay. I plan to snap a pic of her every year of her life this same way... for as long as she'll let me anyway. :)
The curtains are in Sadie's room, yup. After all your comments I can't help but have Adrianized thoughts when I use 'em in a piccie. <3
all the green in your pics lately makes so happy :) not that everything else in them doesn't have a similar effect but the green... you know. i wish i had more words.
