old houses are a pain. Mine was built in 1880 and the floors are crooked, the walls are crooked and everythng needs updating!

Yeah, but you probably didn't grow up doing construction and renovation work like I did. It's close enough to Maryland I might be able to get Dad out for a couple weeks, he's the real expert in the family.

yeah ACTUALLY i DID grow up doing construction work on the house i lived in. But my dad is over 8 hours away...so no help there. And the husband, he has been deployed two out of the four years we've been here. He's here long enough to make a mess I get to fix/cleanup. It's hard.
