I read Never let me Go a couple of years ago. I liked it but I found the narrative to be a tad cold. It was an interesting concept though.

The Hobbit is currently on my must-read list.

I thought she was a little detached as well, but for me that made the story even more eerie.
Here was telling about clones, donations and completion as if it was was the most normal thing in the world while my head is boggling.

Steady as it goes ;)
I don´t know if the ´30 books for 2013´ is an official thing, but around New Year a lot people on my flist has it as a resolution, so I jumped on the bandwagon.

I looooove dystopian story lines. 1984 and Brave New World are two of my favorite books. My friend just sent me Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde in the mail to read (not the erotica series; it's a dystopian novel about social class set based on the colors you can see)... I'm really interested to read it. I've also been working my way through Philip K. Dick's novel The Man in the High Castle, which flirts with the idea of how the U.S. would be if they lost WWII. Really interesting. I will add Atwood's book and Never Let Me Go to my to-read list as well!

Thanks for the add! I'm looking forward to LJing with you. :)
