Thanks! It's pretty exciting for me to be working in my field with good people -- I feel pretty lucky that this job came my way!

yayhoo. congrats! that sounds intense.. like beyond my scope of understanding. a fixed job for like 2 years... could be very nice
good to see those bits of paper really being useful now and then :)

I know, pretty crazy eh? But then, planning a new radio show without repeating songs every week for almost three years is pretty much beyond the scope of my understanding. :) I'm still working through the summer podcasts -- they're fantastic!

Thanks! And thanks so much for all your thesis encouragement. Alas, my supervisor didn't enjoy it quite as much as you did (he didn't think it was bad, just that there were some problems), so lots of work still to go, but I'll get there eventually!

My start date is in January, so I'm still coming home for sure. And I plan to use up all my vacation time (and any overtime I can do) to visit you in the summer!
