Tonight Kelly and I took a quick self-guided walking tour of Lincoln Center/Columbus Circle (complete with a stop at Tasti-D) before heading down to Times Square to meet up with Jackie. I lived there for five years.

Well-known, interesting fact: the Lincoln Square area is where part of West Side Story was filmed.

Lesser-known, more interesting fact: they filmed the West Side Story scenes there AFTER the city had declared the area a slum and evicted all of the people who lived there (around 7,000, if I remember correctly), but (obviously) before they knocked the buildings down. So all those buildings around them are empty.
