Meme of Shipping

'cause everyone else is doing it and I haven't done in meme in AGES

Comment with any ship (romantic or platonic or maybe even non-existent!) from a fandom that you know I have some knowledge about, and I will rant about aforementioned ship. This may be incoherent gushing or exclamations of disgust, depending on your ship of choice.

Right so, in the completely unpopular opinion category, I do not like this ship at all. I quit watching the show when Raph left. I loved Mary and Marshall as friends but nothing more. Anytime they tried to tack any sort of romance onto them, I felt it was forced. As I said, I haven't watched in a long time, so I don't know what's going on now. Maybe it got better.

Anytime Marshall freaks out over Mary is awesome. Episode before last week, I went into full fangirl squee mode and then wanted to hug Marshall.

Also I hadn't realized until this post that you were watching Game of Thrones. YAY, more people to be fans of the show. I take it you haven't read the books though?

I have not read the books, but I've read the summaries of the books. Mostly to help me figure out what's going on.

Right now, favorite two characters: Dany and Tyrion, with the former taking the lead.

Dany and Tyrion are pretty cool characters. I have a falling out with Dany somewhere along the line in the books and I'll be curious how that goes in the series. I've pretty much always been an Arya fangirl myself.

Liz/Wesley

Well, they're the best they'll ever do for each other, so it just has to happen.

I'd love to see an epic battle in the way only this show could do between Wesley and Dennis while Liz just get embarrassed for them both.

The thing about them was everything Wesley said to Liz made sense. Depressing sense but sense nonetheless. They could be wonderfly mediocre with each other!

Since I know from a previous comment that you ship Eric/Sookie (Awesome btw), I don't need to ask about that.

So let's see: Buffy/Spike? and Remus/Tonks?

I so started to respond to this last night and I hit something and lost the whole comment. I was to tired to care at that point. Anyway, Buffy/Spike:

I shipped them before S4. That's before Something Blue and everything that followed. I was a Spike fan from the beginning. I was a Spike lover when he walked down the street in Halloween and said it was neat. And I've always loved Buffy. So them together was just...neat ( ... )

Remus/Tonks. I read the books after seeing the first four movies and at the time, Remus made no impression on me. Then reading the third book, I was completely in love with the rumpled werewolf. And Tonks was awesome right away. When it was revealed she was in love with Remus, my response was, "Of course. Who wouldn't be?"

And I had to respect why he didn't persue her. He thought she deserved better. Which is always the formula for the truly great loves. She knew there wasn't any better. Even when he went barmy in Deathly Hallows, I hated him for it but understood. Also, being two of three favorite characters in the books, I was fine with their fate as it was the last book. Last in the series, you can kill everyone off, I'm cool. If your curious, Serius was my other fave and yes, I have issues he died when he did. (The only thing I truly disliked about the last book had nothing to do with pairings, btw.)

I would have loved for them to live and raise Teddy but at least they went together.

Already saw someone commented Buffy/Spike.

So I choose Barney/Robin

Also really curious about what you think about Marion/Robin. I know they're slated and all that, but still. How BBC pulled it off. (Because we know they're devoted to historical correctness, lol - Watch their Merlin series. It's QUITE good.)

BROTP!!!

I have been a fan of them like many others, after Zip, Zip, Zip and have been about them ever since. I made high pitched noise at the end of Sandcastles in the Sand. I was bitter over what they did to them in their relationship.

It seems the writers do not understand that ever couple does not have to be Marshall and Lily to work. Barney and Robin will never be Marshall and Lily, nor should they be. I my head, all those places Robin ended up working/visiting? Yeah, Barney financed it simply so that they could have sex there. Because he could afford it and it would make them both happy. They are not a case of opposites attract and that's a good thing.

BroTP FTW!

Marian/Robin..ick.

I never liked Robin. And he only cared for Marian when it was right for him. He never respected her choices or her independence. He made it clear duty came first. There's nothing wrong with that but Marian deserved someone who put her first *cough*Guy*cough*. Even in some other versions of Robin Hood, Robin just like Marian when he could make the time.

So yeah, not a fan and never will be.

(Side note, I tried watching Merlin. Could not get into it at all. Not big on Authorian ledged it ends up.)
