- you lucky lucky woman you!!! I won tickets to see 'Young the Giant' back in January but the concert isn't until April, I've been waiting impatiently let me tell you lol
-I don't read the comics, but I've been hearing a lot of wank about the 'surprise ending' of Buffy being a robot somehow? The comics just don't effect me I guess, since I remain in my blissful oblivious Happy Spuffy Place :) But I'm enjoying my f-lists reaction to all the Spuffy that is taking place in them :)
- both evangelin1202 and crackers4jenn (see my icon) have made some awesome Spuffy Icons, you should also check out seasonal_spuffy entries for Icons. I made some for the last round that are a bit, ahem, naughty lol
I have a history of seeing awesome concerts! Back in 2009, I saw The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol (as the opener for), Coldplay, and Snow Patrol (again, as the head liner!)
The next year I saw Muse and Lady Gaga. In fact I've seen Muse four times!
Yes, the "surprise ending". Buffy confronted Spike on his feelings and he admitted he was still in love with her and told her, "I want normal and I want it with you." They were about to kiss when her arm was ripped off by a zompire (long story). The arm was clearly mechanical. She knows she's her but Spike points out he's something of a Buffybot expert.
Since Joss and Jane are still involved with these comics, I feel like they are more like tie-in novels than actual canon. Just kind of official fan fiction, you know? But yes, there is serious Spuffy!
I will look into those places for icons! I saw seasonal_spuffy is about to start back up too! If you've read any of my fan fiction ( master list here, lots of Doctor/Rose), you'll know I don't have so much a problem with the naughty! Thanks!
-Concerts are like the 'Save Points' of my life memories. In my early high school years, our local downtown concert hall had this weekly 7 local bands for 7 bucks. I saw Death Cab For Cutie back in 2003, the year before they hit it big (FOR SEVEN BUCKS!) And concerts continue to be my favorite thing! I saw Muse back in 2008! One of the best concerts I've ever been to! They are amazing. Just last year, I won tickets to see Dirty Heads, O.A.R, and Awolnation. And I've seen The Shins, Def Leppard, Christian Kane, Snow Patrol, and multiple others at various points in my life! Young the Giant and Grouplove will be my first concert of 2012, and hopefully more will follow. ALSO! I applaud your taste in music! :)
-That is a really good way to describe the Buffy Comics!
-Seasonal Spuffy is a great reference, and it's nicely organized as well :) I signed up again this round and am already getting ansty about finishing multiple projects lol
Oh, I don't have bad taste in music! I'm a serious music snob. Snow Patrol will be near me next month. But on a Sunday night, so I'll have to give that one a think. I've seen The Killers twice

I'm on my phone which makes replying difficult, but i wanted to say that THESE ARE GOOD FEELS INDEED! Interesting take on what's going on in Buffy's head (though I don't really see her as pushing him away?), and yesyesyes, domestic Spuffy and Daddy!Spike and IT'S ALL SO BEAUTIFUL~
I feel all important that I was worthy of a phone response!
Buffy may not even be consciously pushing him away. Not that she actually wants him to go away. It's like that line from "Poison and Wine" by The Civil Wars, "I wish you'd hold me when I turn my back."
DOMESTIC!SPUFFY FTW!!!! Thinking back, my favorite panel is possibly her glaring at the alien European socket. Like how dare it be that way! And she would be able to change it by just using the power of her mind! Even though Spike was, rightfully, annoyed with her (because she didn't get to explain), he still made it a point to banter with her. Our William should know by now, that Buffy? Not so good with the words. That's his job in this relationship
