So

Ryan's debit card number got stolen, and whoever snagged it just gave themselves a full tank of gas, a pack of smokes, opened two gas card debit accounts and bought about $400 in stuff from BestBuy and other places. All in the span of about 4 hours.

Oh no, I am so sorry! D: they must be hitting major retailers again, like grocery store chains or something. I'd offer to help but I still haven't gotten my new card. UGH. *hughug*

THIEVESY PEOPLE SUCK :E We think it might have been at a food place? Ryan said some cashier held his card a little longer than he was comfortable with.

*MEGA HUGZ* Did they get yours fixed and the charges removed? D: Banks take for-friggin-ever on stuff like this.

Looks like most everything was canceled when the card was, with only a couple of gas station charges to worry about. They gave us "provisional credit" on them, so we've got the money back for now, but if they decide that those cards were us, they'll take it back. :/

Work was also SUPER COOL about printing me a paper check and overnighting(!) it to me. I still had to deposit it, but I am pulling the cash out ASAP. This is like the 3rd time something like this has happened.

I'm still waiting on my paperwork... they said it'd be here in three days but i haven't received anything and if I don't get it they'll take away the money. I think I need to call them again on monday.

I'm glad that you were able to get your money safely. We have separate accounts and one joint account. The joint is just for holding money and passing it back and forth. Since there's no debit card for it, it's pretty safe. It might be a way to avoid this in the future? Get your direct deposit to an account like that and then move it into your individual accounts for bill paying? BoA doesn't charge us for them, but I don't know about other banks.

Ugh, hopefully they don't change their minds on either of us! I'm just glad this didn't happen when I get my bonus on christmas eve. ;D;
