Paid account - userpics?

I have a paid account for a year, until 17th December 2010 and am interested in buying more userpics for myself.

So I want to ask:

- userpics - if I get 100 userpics will I have to keep paying every year in order to keep them?

- permanent account - how many userpics do you get with that, and is that worth it, in the long run?

I have a permanent account.. and I have 200 userpics. I think that's the most you can get... so far. :)

If you wanna buy 100 userpics.. you will have them for a year.. so if your paid account runs out.. I think you might lose the userpics as well.. but it would only be one month for you in this case if you buy those userpics now..

Yeah I think i get what you mean susi, that the userpics i buy will be temporary for the time i paid for and id want to keep them so maybe permanent is better? *scratches head*

I don't think it's possible to purchase a permanent account all the time. LJ makes announcements when it's available.. and that's like.. every other year or so. :/

I am flirting with the idea of a permanent account since i love LJ and there are a lot of people I love here. I am not sure if i will do it though..
The cost is quite high and I am not sure I could be that committed.. Will lj be around in 5 years? 10 years?
If it disappears what will i do?
