Reception Site Search from Hell

I have spent the last two weeks looking for a reception site with my fiancé and his relatives. Everything was going wonderfully until last Friday when my parents went with Nick and me to look at two places. WowWowWow. As you know I totally understand what it is like to deal with relatives. The crazy thing is that as far as I know, $40 a head is a really good deal. At least up here is at least 100, usually more.

On one hand, I am really irreparably hurt that my mother took zero interest in my wedding, but on the other I am thinking maybe it was easier that way. (Well..I'm trying to look at the positive side. I remember what a disaster my first communion and confirmation was.)

Poor Nick. He's a really great guy and its unfortunate that she had to say things to him. I'm sure you will be able to get through this. We are all behind you!!! If you need our help at all, you know where we are! ^_^

Even though it has been days since all of this has happened I am still so pissed off at her. She always has to have things exactly how she wants it regardless of everyone else's feelings. I'm mostly angry about what she said to Nick. I have known her to say very hurtful things to me but this is a new low even for her.

Yeah I know how that feels. There was a particularly bad example of that...worse than even I had ever imagined...that happened to us. I do not feel comfortable typing it on LJ because it was that inhumanly bad. But yeah that put me over the top. I had harsh words with the parties involved. Attacking the fiancee is off limits.
