Ooops, went back to work and look what happened, now I have to catch up!
Tainted Love by My Ruin
This track to me represents my first 'real' metal gig, My Ruin supported by Breed77 (another great band, look out for their cover of the Cranberries' 'Zombie' - you'll never look back!) at Nottingham's Rock City Saturday 4th September 1999. Having been a metal fan for years this was the first gig I finally saw live, for My Ruin's decidedly under-rated album 'Speak or Destroy'. I love the album (even now it's still one of my favourites) and the night still looms large in my memory mainly due to the huge crush I had on Tarrie B at the time (possibly the start of 'girls with big guns' thing (ask me about that sometime and I might tell you *grin*)) and the fact that when we met her after the gig she was so lovely about the whole thing. Really a perfect evening, even if I was there with my baby brother in tow!!!
And as a bonus see My Ruin's cover of AC/DC's 'Have a Drink on Me' which is a really good cover!
