Let me start this by saying that what happened to those poor students at Virginia Tech is horrific. My heart extends to each and every family member and friend who was so tragically effected by the death of each and every student. Their time was not up and they were all viciously taken from this world far too early ( Read more... )

Elizabeth and I were talking about this exact matter today and I can say that I wholeheartedly agree with you. Our conversation was prompted by Elizabeth's spotting of 3 cop cars outside the library, a noticeable "beefing up" of UW campus security. I find it sad, unrealistic, and most of all ironic that the nation as a whole responds the way it does to this sort of thing. As I surfed the web today I could not but help notice that that the US media machine has once completely taken over and manipulated the american media, so as to draw people's attention away from a much bigger problem: the losing of the "war" in Iraq, the death of almost 3,312 american troops, but much more importantly, the fucking slaughter of more than 60,000 Iraqi civilians ( ... )
