Getting up on my soapbox...

This is fucking disgusting. Okay, so I'm a little old and kind of old fashioned, but this is still outrageous. Our society has bred and promoted such laziness and apathy it's just incredible. While I may be alone in feeling pride in accomplishing things for myself, at least I can look back at my life and say that I'm not a complete fraud.

You know, I'm just glad that certain occupations (such as say, a doctor) actually requires hands on work be done through medical school. I'd hate to think I had a doctor that cheated his way entirely through school..

Also, cheating in high school is pretty ridiculous. I slept through classes like literature and still came out with A's; so I find it pretty incomprehensible that you feel compelled to cheat your way through the easiest work you'll have to do in your life.

But, keep in mind that the type of people that actually make worthwhile changes in our society are not the type of people this article is about, which is a relief to say the least. If the guy handing me my Sprite and fries spent his youth peeking over his neighbor's shoulder in History class, that's his problem, not mine :p

Very true. Doctors are bad enough as it is. And completely agreed on the HS part. That was what shocked me the most because from what I've heard it's gotten easier since the days when we were there. And hell, I got straight A's, I did a bunch of sports and clubs and I still had enough time on my hands to get into all manner of trouble!

As to that last part tho... worthwhile changes, yeah, still made by people with their own brains and ideas. However, there's been a marked decrease in the worthwhile changes and an increase in changes for the worse.

Agreed. They are coming fewer and farther between. Honestly I think a lot of people are just starting to develop this whole "What's the point?" attitude. Well.. you've only got one life to live, that's the point. Do something.
